Everything Works 4 My Good,Tough Times Too! ( Romans 8:28)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This verse on the surface some have misinterpreted as it saying only good things happen to Christians. Any true believe knows that to be false. Even the best Christians have to endure tough times and trials. Think about the apostles, most notably the apostle Paul who was beaten, through in prison, stoned, and even ship wreck. Sure during our walk great things do happen, but along the way we go through trials and tribulations, these as the verse talks of are used to refine us. See God knows us, our need and wants, and yes our strengthens and weaknesses. Through these trials and tribulations He allows us to go to such a point where instead of being destroyed we grow in strength and in fact grow closer to Him.

I know for me I handle for example road stress in a far different way. I used to get down right mean in the past. Now I never followed anyone home or drove crazy, but I used to let things get to me mentally. Now since getting saved God has shown me that when people pull out in front of me or ride my bumper that He has given me someone to pray for. In addition when they get in front of me it just gives me a little more time alone with Him in the car.

One of the things I've noticed in general is that when we react to every situation good or bad and see it as a chance to grow spiritually we win. We win because we remind the enemy he can't steal our joy or our peace. So friends be encouraged everyday no matter how things are going. Remember it is better to suffer the afflictions of the righteous. For the pleasures of sin is but, for a season( Hebrews 11:25 ).

For anyone reading this today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your worries, doubts, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy for He cares for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). Repent of your old ways and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Don't let your past or not being perfect get in the way( Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Instead cast yourself upon His mercy( Luke 18:13 ). Remember He is waiting on you with arms wide open( John 3:16 ). In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy ( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose him? Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 ) ? I encourage you to do so. This is the single greatest choice you will ever make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternal( John 3:18 ). Don't wait make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 ) !

If The Word Don't Approve It, It Ain't Good( Matthew 18:8-9)

Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Matthew 18:8-9

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I must admit at first when I read this passage before getting saved I was a little scared. I thought man I might need to go ahead and pluck out both eyes. Instead what I have come to find the longer I walk with God and the more I read His word is what Jesus was saying. What He was saying is if something in your life is not according to scripture. Another words can you own this item or conduct in this activity and in no way feel that you are offending God. The thing I found is the more I applied this to my life the more things had to go. Friends this year I got rid of 30 dvds. What people don't realize and even Christians is there is so much blasphemy, foul language, lack of modesty, and other things that are just sickening. As it is written we are to abstain from all appearances of evil( 1 Thessalonians 5:22 ).

I've even heard some adults say hey I can ignore certain words and it will be all right. I beg to differ for as Jesus said what defiles a man is what comes out of mouth( Matthew 15:11 ). When you speak it reveals what is in your heart. Can you honestly see someone who loves the Lord with all their heart and soul just using foul language as every other word? I can't. In fact as it is written no corrupt communication should come out of our mouths, but instead that we should speak in a way to minister grace to others and build them up( Ephesians 4:29 ). Friends as you know any time you have had this type of language either directed at you or heard it did it ever minister grace to you or build you up?

Friends we live in such a fallen world and yes while there things we can't avoid there are things we can. So I encourage you the next time you think about doing something or buying something think would it please God and does it bring His name glory( Galatians 1:10, Colossians 3:23 , and 1 Peter 4:11 ). Remember the Word says to prove all things( 1 Thessalonians 5:21 ).

For anyone reading this tonight who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior I invite you to do so. In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose Him? Do You Know Who You Fight? ( Ephesians 6:10-13 )

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-13

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friends I know for some this is quite a familiar section, but to others it might be quite foreign. In either case it is something we need to be aware of. Whether as new Christians or seasoned Christians, and yes even those who are lost. See whether people in this world wish to acknowledge it we are in a war. As it says in verse 12 that we war not against flesh and blood. Sure their are battles of good and evil that take place between the flesh the battle is between good which is God and His heavenly host, and the devil and his demons.

For me I've felt different types of attacks from the enemy. Things most people would shrug off as normal, but believe it or not they are attacks. Ever had a day were you go into work in a great mood, your on time, you've had your breakfast and everything is going smooth. Then the moment you open your first customer walks in and demands your corporate number saying he or she got the worst service ever. Despite everything you try and do she or he just won't compromise. Finally you get he or she the number and she leaves letting you know she is leaving a complaint about your store. Now sure you say well, people can just be that way. I beg to differ. I see it as one way the enemy wishes us to bring down our guard and attack unkindly. Another words he is looking for us to act anything, but how we should.

Another could be coming down out of nowhere with a serious illness. While some would say well maybe there were factors. The truth is once again the enemy is trying to get us to get us to turn our backs on God. For me I recently got sick and still am recovering and despite not feeling completely well still love God. I'm thankful it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I'm thankful for the rest I got in the process of recovering.

Another thing I just thought of is how the devil will try to tear us down and God will use it for our good( Genesis 50:20 ). Much like He did with Joseph. God took the situation and saved the land of Egypt, Joseph and his entire family. Another thing to consider is the devil is on a leash and can only do as much as God allows, look at Job for example.

Friends we need to ready at all times for we never know when the enemy will strike( 1 Peter 5:8 ). So make sure everyday you suit in the full armor of God and I promise He will hold you upright, sustain you, and be with you all the days of your life. The road won't be easy, but God never said it would. He did say He would be with every step of the way guiding and providing.

For anyone reading this tonight who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Don't worry about your past or not being perfect( Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Instead cast yourself upon His mercy( Luke 18:13 ). He is waiting on you with arms wide open( John 3:16 ). In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose Him ? Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 )? I encourage you do so. This is the single greatest choice you will ever make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternal( John 3:18 ). Don't wait, make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 ) !

If You Seek Him, You Will Find Him ( Deuteronomy 4:29 )

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Deuteronomy 4:29

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ever heard someone say I can't find God or I can't hear Him? Or they ask why isn't He speaking to me. Truth of the matter is He is speaking to and He isn't hidden. What happens in each of these cases is the person who says they can't hear Him are not listening. You say well, how are they not listening? In a number of ways, but ultimately through doing things their way and not God's way. Then for the one who says they can't find Him, well doesn't verse make it clear, if you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul you shall find Him. God isn't hidden. He is not trying to stay out of our lives, but in fact He wants to be in our lives. He wants to help us and be with us through every aspect of our lives. The problem comes with us human beings. It comes with people in general saying hey God you can be in this and that part of my life, but stay out of this area. Friends anyone who is a true believer and truly loves God will say Lord your welcome anywhere. This life is not my own, it was bought with a price( 1 Corinthians 6:20 ).

You know for so long in my own life I couldn't figure out why things happened or why I couldn't find peace in my own life. The problem was I was lacking Christ. It wasn't till last year that finally after running for so long that I got on my knees and gave all to Him. I realized for the first time in my life that I couldn't do it all,but that there was someone who could. I can only barely begin to express how that night felt as though a burden was lifted off me. I feel as that night God removed the spiritual blinders the devil had put on me. No longer was I an enemy of God,but I became a friend of God. The thing is on that night I sought the Lord with all that I could and found Him and His grace. I experienced first hand that we serve a loving god.

So brothers and sisters continue to seek God with all your heart and all your soul. As it is written you will find Him. Remember Jesus said come to me all you who are working and heavy laden and I will give you rest.( Matthew 11:28-30 ). Next time the trials become too much or you feel yourself worn thin come to the Lord and you can find rest. I'm not saying life won't be hard, but what I am saying is God will be with you every step of the way.

In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose Him? Good Things Come In Two ( Ecclesiastes 4:9-13 )

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-13

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friends as brothers and sisters in the faith we need to stand together. We need to help one another. Remember we are all part of the body of Christ and as a body we should be working together. Sadly division has come to the house of God. Strife, envy and other such things have crept in. Some may ask how? Well, the simple question can be answered by the Word of God. The apostle Paul wrote in his first letter to Timothy about how there would those to fall from the faith( 1 Timothy 4:1-3 ). In addition they will seek another gospel( 2 Timothy 4:3-5 ) . What surprises me is people say I didn't see this coming or why wasn't I warned. The truth is we were warned, the question should be why didn't more pay attention. Remember Jesus said take heed, lest any man deceive you.( Matthew 24:4 ) Sure He was talking to His disciples, but He was warning Christians of all ages to be aware at all times. As it is written prove all things( 1 Thessalonians 5:21 ).

So friends despite how the enemy is attacking in your life remember that working as a team is one of many ways we can combat the enemy. God has blessed us with friends who encourage us and help us. Most importantly He has provided us with the greatest weapon and that is His Word( Ephesians 6:17 ). Remember in the wilderness when Jesus was tempted He used it and the devil had not power(Matthew 4:1-11 ) . In closing brothers and sisters remember what it says in James, how when we submit to God, resist the devil he must flee( James 4:7 ).

For anyone reading this tonight who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your worries, doubts, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy for He cares for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). Repent of your ways and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Don't let your past or not being perfect get in the way( Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Instead cast yourself upon His mercy( Luke 18:13 ). Remember He is waiting on you with arms wide open( John 3:16 ). Need Some Strength...Call On Jesus! ( Philippians 4:13 )

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:13

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Talk about some serious words of encouragement. You know when a brother or sister in Christ is hurting this is one of the verses I remind them of. Not so much that they didn't know it,but hearing those words in the lows of life can just pull you up. You know last year when I got saved and asked God to remove the addiction of alcohol from my life that those words rang in my ears. I realized this addiction wouldn't be easy to walk away from on my own,but with Jesus Christ I could and would do it. Now today I am a little over one year free from this addiction.

What I have found the longer I walk with Christ is nothing is stronger than Him. With men things may be impossible, but with God nothing is( Matthew 19:26 ). I'm not saying that the devil won't ever tempt me again in this area, but I know that I can claim victory for the battle is not mine, but the Lord's( 1 Samuel 17:47 ). So friends I encourage you when tough times come along rely not on your own strength, but ask for His strength. I won't tell you the battles will be easy or that life gets easy, but through your trials and battles God will strengthen you( Isaiah 41:10 ), prepare you( 1 Samuel 17:37 ), and be with you every step of the way( Deuteronomy 31:8 ).

In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose Him? Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 ) ? I encourage you to do so. This is the single greatest choice you will ever make. Things Of This World Are Temporary ( 2 Corinthians 4:18 )

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This point I have spoken to the youth group I help with as well as other people I encounter and through my devotional as well. What people need to realize is one day this world as we know it will cease to exist( Matthew 24:35 ). What surprises me is how people trust things of this earth in saying I have plenty of money so I don't need God I have all I need. What they don't realize is on the day of judgment it won't do them any good( Proverbs 11:4 ). Remember Jesus said I am the way, the truth, the life and none may come to the Father except through me( John 14:6 ). Jesus made it very clear that there is only one way to heaven and nothing except Him will get you there. This reminds me of the story of the young rich ruler( Luke 18:18--30 ), he had everything and followed most of the commandments, but unfortunately he had forgotten the first commandment to have no other gods( Exodus 20:3 ). What the young rich ruler didn't get is that his wealth and possessions had become his god.

Another passage that comes to mind is in Colossians where it is written set not your affections on things of this earth, but of things above( Colossians 3:2 ). Another words we need to focus on those things which matter which is sharing the Word of God, spending time in prayer/communion with Him, and of course having a sincere, deep and committed relationship with Him. Instead of putting our trust in material items or men( Jeremiah 17:5 ) we need to trust solely on God alone( Jeremiah 17:7 ). So I encourage you all brothers and sisters in Christ remember though we can not visually see our home in glory, know it is there because He who promised is faithful and would not have said it if it was not so( Hebrews 10:23, John 14:2 ). Hold fast to the faith, share the good news and be encourage through every trial we go through God will be with us every step of the way.

For anyone reading this tonight who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness, Be real with Him and cast all your worries, doubts, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy for He cares for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). Repent of your old ways and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Don't let your past or not being perfect get in the way( Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Instead throw yourself upon His mercy( Luke 18:13 ). He is waiting on you with arms wide open( John 3:16 ). In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose Him? Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 ) ? I encourage you to do so. It is the single greatest choice you will ever make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternal( John 3:18 ). Don't wait make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 ) !

Rest In The LORD & Wake Up Refreshed ( Psalm 3:5 )

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Psalm 3:5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boy this verse speaks volumes and especially today to me. Today I worked an open to close day. For anyone who has worked that shift knows how long it can be. Despite the length of the day I continued to find I was full of energy as if I'd only been there a couple hours. Even now as I sit to write this devotional I feel just as wake and energetic as I did hours ago. Some would say, must be caffeine, but I know what it is, it is God sustaining me. Now this is one of the ways He can and will sustain you.

You ever had a day where it seems from all sides the enemy has attacked, but yet at night you feel at peace. No matter how worn or beaten you feel your still here. Without a doubt you know it is God who held you up and been with you throughout the battles.

Now another thing I love in this verse you see how it says David laid down, slept and awakened cause the Lord sustained him. Friends ever notice after your roughest days and you don't get to bed till way late, but yet you wake up refreshed and ready for the day. That to me is clear evidence that God is the one who sustains us His own day to day. I find the nights I miss out reading in His Word or in prayer with Him that I don't feel as awake or refreshed the next morning. It immediately reminds of how it is written man can not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from God's mouth( Deuteronomy 8:3 ).

So friends I encourage you to read His word as often as you can. Spend more time in communion with Him. There is no formula its about a relationship with Him. It is not an issue of logic of the brain, but it is a heart issue. Is the Word of God in your heart or is it stuck in your mind. See the pharisees knew the scriptures( the Old Testament), but they never let it go any further past their minds. It is why Jesus spoke to them and said they honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me( Matthew 15:7-9 ).

Repent of your old ways and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Don't let your past or not being perfect get in the way( Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Instead throw yourself upon His mercy( Luke 18:13 ). Remember He is waiting with arms wide open( John 3:16 ). In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose Him? Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 )? I encourage you to do so. This is the single greatest choice you will ever make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternal( John 3:18 ). Don't wait, make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 )!

All Things Work 4 Good 2 Those Who Serve God ( Romans 8:28 )

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know there are times in every Christian's life where he or she goes through trials. Most people will think well if they are going through a hard time then they must have done something wrong. Sure sometimes that can be the case, but mostly what it is, is the result of a spiritual attack from the devil. The awesome thing is while the devil would try to use it to harm us, God turns it around and strengthens us. Think about the story of Joseph. His brothers tossed him in a pit, then eventually sold him into slavery, but despite it all God used it to save him, his family, and Egypt. In fact Joseph even said to his brothers what you meant for evil, God used for good( Genesis 50:20 ).

You know I've had my fair of trials myself that have tested my faith, but it is looking back in hindsight that I see how God allowed things to happen to strengthen me. Remember as it is written we should rejoice in tribulation for it works patience and builds our faith( James 1:2 ). When I look back even as far only as in May I see how far God has brought me. Friends nothing in this world is meant to destroy us, God will take of His own and as the prophet Isaiah said no single weapon formed against you will prosper( Isaiah 54:17 ). A great example is the story of Job. As you remember satan was allowed to do many things to Job, but he was limited. So friends one thing we must also realize is God will not put us in a situation that we can't get out( 1 Corinthians 10:13 ). He will provide a way, but in a way that will strengthen, refine us, and draw us closer to Him.

Repent of your old ways and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Don't let your past or not being perfect get in the way) Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Will you choose Him? Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 )? I encourage you to do so. It is the single greatest choice you will ever make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternal( John 3:18 ). Don't wait, make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 )!

Sleeping Peacefully Because Of God ( Psalm 4:8 )

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Psalms 4:8

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The book of Psalms is one of my favorites in the Bible. I enjoy how there is so many topics covered. This one is most comforting cause I've found no matter how crazy this world can get I know I can find rest in safety knowing He is still on the throne. I know that when I'm worn from a rough day and it seems the devil has just pushed me to the limit that I can find my rest in Him as I go off to sleep. Friends we serve a God who is love personified( 1 John 4:8 ). You know there have been days I come home from work and can't get off to sleep, but then I go in prayer and believe He will give me rest. The next morning I've awaken rested much better than I thought and in fact sometimes wake up an hour before I planned.

This psalm reminds me of the 23rd where it say He maketh me to lie down in green pastures( Psalm 23:2 ). You know sometimes I just can't rest just cause there are things pressing on my mind and God reminds John you need your rest . Like I've stated before God knows our very needs and sometimes He even has to make us lie down. Remember Jesus said come to me ye who are weary and heavy laden for I will give you rest( Matthew 11:28 ). I can't say it enough, but I am thankful to know that when I'm worn out I can find rest in Him. So friends if you are weary and worn, run to Him and find rest for He cares for you( Matthew 11:29 ).

For anyone reading this tonight who has not chosen Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your worries, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy for He cares for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). This is the single greatest choice you will make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternal( John 3:18 ). Don't wait , make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 )!

No Greater Love ( John 15:13 )

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:13

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a powerful verse. No greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friends. Jesus not only spoke those, but showed us through example. Friends when I think of how much Jesus loved me that He choose the cross to pay for my sins it touches me. To some the cross would seem pointless, but to me I see inspiration and power( 1 Corinthians 1:18 ). It reminds me of how over 2000 years ago my savior died so I may live life more abundantly( John 10:10 ).

In this verse it shows you a true characteristic of true love. That characteristic is being unselfish. While ultimately the first thing that comes to mind is literally dying for those who you love. This also means dying to self. Another words like the Apostle Paul said I die daily( 1 Corinthians 15:31 ). It's like Jesus said deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me( Matthew 16:24 ). It's being willing to put the needs of others before yourself. Friends I could just share the good news of Jesus Christ and how He has done so much for me between brothers and sisters in Christ, but what would that really do. Sure it's fun sharing how the blessings and awesome things He has done in your life, but there is a greater need. That need is sharing the gospel with those who don't know Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. Sure this involves dying daily to what I want and instead focusing on who it is about and that is Jesus.

I've made it a point to those who know me if I have to die for my faith so be it. I'm not afraid of those who can take my life, but instead trust in the one who has care of my soul( Matthew 16:25-26 ). The one thing I remember is whether I live or die Christ will be glorified( Philippians 1:20-21 ). So friends I encourage you to share the gospel boldly. Be willing to share it even unto death. For remember as it is written all must die once then onto judgment( Hebrews 9:27 ).

Repent of your old ways and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Don't let your past or not being perfect get in the way( Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Instead throw yourself upon His mercy( Luke 18:13 ). Remember He is waiting on you with arms wide open( John 3:16 ). Don't wait make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 )!

No Fear With God At My Side ( Psalm 118:6 )

The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Psalms 118:6

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What an encouraging thought. No matter how rough things get in your life remember God is with you. You know there are days that I have felt completely drained and defeated, but then I am reminded in romans where Paul writes if God is for us than who shall we fear( Romans 8:31 ). Paul was reminding the church in Rome that despite what they were going through God was with them all the way. In fact in verse 37 Paul writes we are more than conquerors( Romans 8:37 ).

Remember everyday to walk in victory. When Jesus died on the cross He won the victory for us. Fear is a big reason why people won't share the gospel. They are afraid they will offend someone, they are afraid someone won't like them. Friends I encourage do not be afraid, instead be courageous and strong( Joshua 1:9 ). If someone choose to not like you or be your friend because you shared the gospel don't take it personal( John 15:19 ). So I encourage you once again be bold and share the gospel. Fight the good fight of faith( 1 Timothy 6:12 ).

For anyone reading this today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your cares, worries, and doubts at His feet, the feet of mercy for He cares for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). For He is the only way to heaven( John 14:6 ). This is the greatest choice you will ever make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternal( John 3:18 ). Don't wait, make the choice today( Matthew 24:36 )!

Jesus Reconciled Us To God. ( Romans 5:10 )

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Romans 5:10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I spoke to the kids in the youth group at the church I attend the other week I explained to them how when your lost you have a relationship to God even then. What I explained to them is before you got saved you were an enemy of the cross and everything it stood for. In addition you also had a relationship to sin. Either you enjoyed it or just ignored it and said who cares. Then when you get saved, by repenting of your sins and are born you have a new relationship to God and sin. Your relationship to God is you love Him, you are grateful that He sent His son to die for you to pay for the debt of your sins. You seek to do all things in your life for Him. Whether it is cleaning the house for your mom, picking something up at the store for a friend or even cutting the grass. Remember as it is written do all things heartily unto the Lord( Colossians 3:23 ).

The new relationship to sin is you detest it. The very presence of it should make us sick. I know for me personally it just disgusts me just to hear someone to talk in such ungodly ways. Anything from foul and vulgar language to people using blasphemy makes me ill to my stomach. As it is written we should only speak as becoming of the gospel( Philippians 1:27 ).

Friends I am ever so thankful for the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for me. It was the work He did on the cross that reconciled me to God and made me into a friend of God.

For anyone reading this who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. God Takes Care Of HIS Own ( Psalm 37:25 )

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Psalm 37:25

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friends tonight I'm sure there are some out there who are feeling anxious and worried about this election. I am here to send encouragement to all my brothers and sisters in Christ. No matter how the results end up God will take care of His own. As David was stating here in the 37 psalm in all his life when he was and when he was old never were God's people forsaken. Sure we as Christians will endure persecution, but we should rejoice in it knowing God is still in control. Remember the servant is not greater than the master( John 15:20 ). Jesus was mocked, beaten, and persecuted so remember they don't hate us, they hate the one we serve( John 15:18 ). Instead look at trials with joy realizing God is preparing you and conforming you through it( James 1:2-4 ).

Friends we need not to be worries God will take care of us( Psalm 37:7 ). Despite what people think nobody gets the power they have unless God gives it to them( Romans 13:1 ). God can use anyone to fulfill His will. Brothers and sisters in Christ please I ask you to not be afraid and trust God completely( Isaiah 41:10, Proverbs 3:5 ). You know a lot of people see a certain person in this election as good man and that he will do good things for our country. I beg to differ cause there is a way that seems right to man,but it leads to destruction( Proverbs 14:12 ).

For anyone reading this tonight who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your worries, cares, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy for He cares for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). In those arms you will find love( John 15:13 ), mercy( Romans 5:6-8 ), forgiveness( 1 John 1:9 ), and a grace that is sufficient( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ). Will you choose Him? HIS Grace Is Sufficient! ( 2 Corinthians 12:9 )

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here the apostle Paul was writing to the church in Corinth. The He, Paul writes is Jesus Christ. For truly Christ's grace is sufficient. Remember as it is written for by grace through faith we are saved( Ephesians 2:8-10 ). It is not by our works or accomplishments that we have passed from death unto life. No, it is only by the work done on the cross by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

You know I am ever thankful for the grace of our Lord. You know thinking about grace I think about how people think of God. They think He is loving and won't send anyone to hell. That thinking isn't biblical. Friends God is a loving god,but He is a just god. For it is written in John 3:18, those who don't believe are condemned( John 3:18 ). Another thing to consider is Jesus said "I am the way,the truth, and the life, none may come to Father except through Me( John 14:6 )". I think the mind set people get in is they base their idea on their own mold versus what the bible teaches. Friends it is written that we are to prove all things( 1 Thessalonians 5:21 ). To prove all things is to examine all things by the Word of God.

Then Paul writes how in weakness perfect strength is made. I've found in my moments of hurt, despair, and weakness of spirit that when I go to God in prayer I am renewed. Remember our true strength comes from Jesus Christ( Philippians 4:13 ). So the next time the devil knocks you to your knees realize you are in the perfect position to regain strength and that he has only made things worse for him. As it is written submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he must flee. Friends I find my strength renewed daily in prayer. Remember daily we need to equip ourselves in the armor of God( Ephesians 6:11-18 ).

Paul then closes this verse by saying," Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." What he was saying reminds me of what it says in James in the first chapter , verses 2-4, which talks about rejoicing through trials and tribulations. The reason we are to rejoice is one these things while the devil means us harm, God uses to strengthen and refine us. Just as when Joseph's brother sold him into slavery meant him harm, but God used it to save them and for His glory( Genesis 50:20 ). Friends we must look at our lives with not our own eyes, but through God's eyes. We must stop relying on this temporal world and instead put our full trust in God( Proverbs 3:5 ).

For anyone reading this today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your worries, doubts, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy for He does care for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). Repent of your old ways and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Don't let your past or not being perfect get in the way( Psalm 103:12, Romans 3:23 ). Instead cast yourself upon His mercy( Luke 18:13 ). Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 )? I encourage you to do so. This is the single greatest choice you will ever make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternally( John 3:18 ). Don't wait, make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 )!

Encourage One Another ( Proverbs 27:17 )

Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Proverbs 27:17

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friends as brothers and sisters in Christ we should be encouraging one another daily( Hebrews 3:13 ). Sure the Word of God is the greatest comfort, but in encouraging others we are showing we are His disciples( Matthew 13:35 ). It is that true love we have for one another that makes us want to encourage one another and therefore fulfilling the commandment He gave. Another awesome effect of encouraging someone else it also encourages you through knowing God is comforting them. It is such a blessing in my humble opinion when I share something with a brother or sister in Christ and to see them smile at hearing the words gave me for them.

So friends encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ. Remember how God has comforted you in trials and tribulations and in turn share it with them( 2 Corinthians 1:4 ). Another thing to consider is using kind words when you see them hurting or just down. It truly is amazing how one kind word goes a long way. I've found some days just someone saying you are really nice or kind can make my day( Proverbs 12:25 ). So friends I encourage you to encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ. Even if is only to tell them they look nice today or by giving them a hug. Share encouragement after all Jesus said be of good cheer for I have overcame the world( John 16:33 ). That right there is a huge encouragement to me. It tells me I have victory over this world through my Lord and savior.

For anyone reading this tonight who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your worries, doubts, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy for He does care for you( 1 Peter 5:7 ). Repent of your old way and find your identity in Jesus Christ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Will you choose Him? Will you let Him set you free from the bonds of sin( John 8:36 )? I encourage you to do so. This is the single greatest choice you will make. It is a matter of life and death, life and death eternally( John 3:18 ). Don't wait, make the choice tonight( Matthew 24:36 )!
