Do You Have A Relationship With God?( Isaish 29:13 )
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Isaiah 29:13

The Lord desire those who love Him with all their hearts and all their strength. To honor the Lord with your lips and not live it, is like driving the nails back in His hands. Jesus spoke this very verse to the pharisees( Mark 7:6-7 ). He was trying to show them that their religion was vain and that they needed a relationship with God. Friends, God's Word should be both on our lips and in our hearts. Think about it the pharisees knew the scripture because they memorize them, but yet when the Messiah was in front of them they didn't know it. Why? For one simple truth they had the scriptures in their mind and not in their hearts. They didn't have a relationship with God, they had religion.
In religion there is not love, but steps, rituals, and practices. In a relationship there is love and commitment. The apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth about love, true love. You could give a lot of money to the poor or done other things, but without love it doesn't matter( 1 Corinthians 13:3 ). The Lord doesn't want robots, He wants willing, obedient people. He desires to have a relationship with us. He desired it so much that He sent His only son to die for us( John 3:16 ). Remember love covers many sins( 1 Peter 4:8 ), its true love that looks beyond who someone is and sees who they will be( Romans 5:8 ).
Friends I encourage you to deepen your relationship with God. Trust me friends His love runs so deep and the more I read about Him the more I want to know.
For anyone reading this today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior I invite you to do so. Ask Him into your heart and admit your a sinner in need of His forgiveness. Be real with Him and cast all your worries, doubts, and fears at His feet, the feet of mercy( 1 Peter
